i was revisiting some old portrait and fashion shoots i've done in the past year, and wanted to post up my favorites. i love shooting lifestyle stuff... ❤

konstantine's baptism

a few weeks back i shot a friend of a friend's son's baptism.. he was wide eyed and curious. until they dunked him! i had never been to a greek orthodox baptism before, and as i'm shooting i'm thinking "don't drown the poor kid!!" it was a beautiful ceremony, with some comedic relief.. like when his mom tina took off his diaper to begin the ceremony and, perfect timing, he was umm.. relieving himself (number 1)!!! i'm not a mom yet, but i'm sure many parents out there can appreciate when their sons potty breaks come at inopportune times... it was a great experience, being so closely involved in a family's tradition. i hope i get to photograph konstantine again!

VA is for LOVERS

i went home to VA (is for lovers) this past weekend to photograph some old friends... it's crazy how life goes so fast some times. dana was a friend from high school, now married, pregnant and a new home owner with her husband mike. congratulations dana, you deserve it!
































i also photographed my friend shanikqua and her son, devin. shanikqua was in my high school art class, one of the best classes of all time, hands down. we used to laugh and be stupid, and that class was when i realized photography could be my career. ahh nostalgia... shanikqua- you're boy couldn't be any cuter and full of energy. i had to take a nap when i finished shooting him.. =)
