Production Assisting

I sometimes do production work for a company called Northsix, and as a freelance production assistant I basically get to be on set of these high end fashion shoots for Vogue and W, or Oscar de la Renta and Chloe, and all I have to do is help out and watch. I LOVE it... its always something exciting and the scale of these productions are sometimes so extravagant, its great for inspiration. Here's a shot I took with my iphone during the shot over in DUMBO. The other 2 shots earlier that morning were at the Top of the Rock and Central Park, and these were all for packaging of the new DKNY fragrance shot by Nathaniel Goldberg. The models were a real couple...





This next one is the actual image used for the advertisement of Gwen Stefani's newest fragrance... shot by Craig McDean.





and these last two are from Oscar de la Renta's fall campaign, also shot by Craig McDean who's work you can see more of at Art & Commerce, who represents Nathaniel Goldberg, and many other kick ass photographers.








It's sooooo much fun, and awesome to see how the big guns do it. I am forever inspired by fashion photography.....

Stefanie and Chris

Yesterday I shot with Roberto Falck, which was a blast not only because I had never worked with him before, but also because Stefanie and Chris were such a great couple. Thanks so much for having me Roberto!!
Stefanie and Chris are the kind of couple that make you love weddings- he never stopped smiling and she lit up every time she saw him. They were also willing to try anything Roberto threw at them and because of that we both got some killer shots... Check out his blog to see, they are already posted. Here are some of mine...

They were so excited to see each other they talked to themselves almost the entire ceremony, it was adorable...
